Our group of seven just spent five nights aboard the 88’ M/Y Lavin cruising through the Fethiye and Göcek bays, and it was an incredible trip from start to finish.A big thank you to our central agent, Onat, who was always available and incredibly responsive. Traveling internationally with seven people comes with plenty of moving parts, but he handled every detail and made sure everything went exactly as planned.I also have to thank Zelda Strydom at Sailabration. She listened to what I was looking for and found the perfect yacht for our group. She couldn’t have matched us any better.The crew made this trip what it was.Captain Osman is someone I’ll never forget. He’s an outstanding captain, knows these waters inside and out, and somehow always found the perfect place to anchor. More importantly, he’s a genuinely great person. By the end of the trip, it felt like we were leaving a friend behind, and I’m proud to say I now consider Osman a lifelong friend.Sena took amazing care of us all week. Everything onboard was spotless, drinks were always full, and she somehow managed to be there whenever anyone needed anything.Chef Kurtuluş absolutely blew us away. Every meal was outstanding, and the presentation was just as impressive as the food itself. We honestly looked forward to every meal because each one seemed to top the last.Batu and Atakan worked nonstop from morning until night, whether it was getting the water toys ready, helping us on and off the tender, or making sure the yacht was always perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble.We were celebrating three birthdays during the charter, and the crew made sure each one felt special. Those little touches meant a lot and made an already amazing trip even more memorable.This wasn’t just a beautiful yacht in one of the most beautiful parts of Türkiye it was 5 days spent with people who genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience.Thank you, Captain Osman, Sena, Kurtuluş, Batu, Atakan, Onat, and Zelda. You gave the seven of us a trip we’ll be talking about for a very long time. We can’t wait to come back.
Working with Danielle Renshaw was one of the best decisions we made when planning our family's yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands.From our very first conversation, Danielle took the time to understand our family, our interests, and what we hoped to get out of the trip. Rather than simply presenting options, she carefully matched us with the perfect yacht and crew. Looking back, I honestly don't think she could have found a better fit for us than Awatea with Captain Fraser and Chef Olivia.Throughout the booking process, Danielle was knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and incredibly organized. She answered every question promptly, guided us through each step, and made what could have been an overwhelming planning process feel easy and enjoyable.What impressed me most was that her service did not end once we booked. Danielle continued to check in before, during, and after our charter to make sure everything was going smoothly. We always felt supported and knew she genuinely cared about our experience.Our vacation exceeded every expectation we had. We traveled with a group of ten, and every detail was perfect. The yacht, the itinerary, the crew, the activities, and the overall experience created memories our family will cherish for a lifetime. Danielle played a huge role in making that happen.If you are considering a yacht charter, I cannot recommend Danielle Renshaw highly enough. Her knowledge of the industry, attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for her clients set her apart. This was one of the top vacations/trips of our lives!! I can't say enough wonderful things about this experience! From the moment we began our planning, Zelda was on top of things answering every question and keeping us in the loop along the way as we had booked the trip many months in advance. The smooth process and detailed instructions from the time we landed to how to get to the boat, etc... was superb. Once we stepped onto the yacht, we never lifted a finger (expect to make a drink) - the crew, Nick and Luzaan were the most amazing people!! We were served three meals a day and not only delicious but the presentation was that of a 5 star restaurant each and every meal with beautiful tablescapes created each day for us and accommodated all of our preferences, allergies, etc... Our Capt. Nick was great at asking what we wanted to do each day, mapping out the course to accommodate us and knew all the best places to go as he has been navigating these waters for several years! Between fishing, Necker island conservatory refuge for endangered species and all the coolest bars on beaches along the way, we couldn't have asked for more.The boat was so clean and organized with all of the water floats, cups with magnets that attached to the floats (genius) and all the spaces to sit and relax were amazing. We sailed a lot and were told where we were landing for the night so we could know the plan each day. I could go on and on about the professionalism and friendliness of this crew. We even had them join us for dinner on our night off the boat at a restaurant - they were so fun to hang out with. Will definitely do this again!!!! Best Crew, Yacht and company!!!! Salty Dog ......
A dream vacation has always been to sail the BVIs on a private yacht. I follow charter smarter on Instagram. Our journey started with our broker, Stephan Voges who was very helpful in understanding what we were looking for and helped book a yacht catamaran. He was with us through the whole booking, meeting the crew and always available for any questions. We sailed on the Shangri La and it exceeded our expectations. Captain Arthur and Chef Shawna were amazing and made sure we had the best experience in paradise. The yacht had been updated and the design was perfect for us and our friends. Unforgettable!!!
